ABOUT

Greetings, my friend! My name is Opal Robinson, I’m a traditional watercolorist with a focus in naturalist and botanical illustration. I am deeply motivated to use my interest in the natural world to educate others on topics like biodiversity, ecology and wild food foraging through my art.

I am a proud Mainer; born, raised and educated here! I’m a recent graduate of MECA&D and a long time member of the Rosemont Artists Guild. In the spring through late fall, I sell my work at the Portland Maine Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. Please check the Upcoming Events page for dates! Additionally, if you have information or opportunities for events that need artists contact me via email!

I created my business back in 2015 solely with my watercolor paintings, and slowly began to teach myself to hand sew and make handmade cards. Eventually as my business grew, so did my interests in other mediums, now extending into block-printing, textile arts and jewelry. In my current practice I try to weave all of these mediums together, both figuratively and literally. Thanks for stopping by!

This business supports women and poc owned establishments. We stand with each other, not against. #Blacklivesmatter #stopAAPIhate
